FRITZ!Powerline sets can be used right away, without configuration. FRITZ!Powerline devices are already individually encrypted upon delivery and ensure security in your home network from the very first time you use them.
You can use the FRITZ!Powerline software with a Windows or Apple computer that is either connected via the FRITZ!Box or connected directly to a FRITZ!Powerline device.The software provides the following functions:
- adding additional powerline devices to the powerline network
- help locating an ideal power socket
- switching the LEDs on and off
- saving power by reducing data throughput on the LAN socket
- advanced options for network encryption
- naming powerline devices in the powerline network
- updating the FRITZ!Powerline devices
The FRITZ!Powerline software is also updated regularly. The software displays the version that is currently installed on your computer on the top right of the software interface.
Installing the FRITZ!Powerline software
